I am from india – mumbai i am also working online part time. I have not started to make big money yet, but i guess if one works 100% than you can start making $200 to $300 pm when you are starting new, but let me tell you there is no upper limit of earning from internet you can make thousands of dollars .
If you are just starting than you have to do lot of learning initially.
Do not fall prey to the Headlines which you read every day in you email . "Make $100 to $1000 in your first week" or "Make $100 the very first day"

In this method you promote other peoples product and make commission on selling their product. You have to join the affiliate program and put the code of that product on your website.

3] Make money providing services
I find this method very easy if you want to make money. You can use your expertise to provide your service to make money. like say if you are good writing , write articles for other people , or if you are good at designing or programing provide you service by doing other peoples work and hence get paid.
There are sites like freelance.com or elance.com which gives you a platform to get started.
This is just the overview of the ways to make money online.
You require domain , web hosting and most important is getting traffic to your site. And there are also other aspect like keyword research, selecting the right niche and knowing the competition in that particular niche, link building , SEO and more.
But again the reply to your answer you can make money even if you are from India. Learn the basics first and rest is all hype.

Opportunites for people that live in India are very few, if you can recruit people from the US then you can make some money but if you like most people then that is out of the question.

If you are me, there is no easy way to make money online as it is still a business need real involvement. The only different between online and offline business is your startup capital is much lesser!

I disagree with your first point above. And why are you limiting yourself with making money from just a few sites? Why not make your own site, offer it to the rest of the world and make money?
I can introduce you to Dr. Mani Siva Subramaniam a.k.a. Dr. Mani. He’s well known for his expertise in e zine marketing. And he’s Indian.
Alan Gardyne of Associate Program is a New Zealanders. Gobala Krishnan a well known affiliate marketer and Wordpress blogger is from my home country Malaysia.
But notice that these people make money from their own product and some with other people products they help to promote.
